A human figure stands against a landscape indifferent to human scale. Made at approximately 15,300 feet in snowfall, wind, low oxygen and −9°C cold, the work is about resilience without spectacle.

Why ZINE preserved it

The title states the position: cold, altitude and discomfort do not matter when presence, strength and stillness remain. Shot in natural light using the Sunny 16 method, the warm colour negative holds its own quiet resistance against the snow.
