Clear rules protect the object and every person around it.

Effective 23 August 2026. These terms govern use of the ZINE website and enquiry services. Sale-specific conditions will be supplied separately before any transaction.

Website information

Collection studies, estimates, availability, dates and service descriptions may change. A website page is not by itself a binding offer, appraisal, guarantee or contract of sale.

Accounts and enquiries

You must provide accurate information and use the site lawfully. ZINE may request identity, source-of-funds, sanctions or other checks before enabling bidding, high-value acquisition, payment or consignment.

Authorship and attribution

Human Origin records reflect the evidence available and the attribution category stated. No verification system can remove all uncertainty; material limitations and changes will be disclosed when known.

Auctions and private sales

Registration, reserves, estimates, buyer premiums, taxes, payment, collection, shipping, returns, guarantees and dispute rules will appear in the applicable conditions of business. Those sale-specific conditions prevail for that transaction.

Intellectual property

Artwork images, writing, records, logos and site design may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Ownership of an artwork does not automatically transfer copyright or reproduction rights.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ZINE is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on preliminary information, service interruption or third-party services. Nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Law and contact

The contracting entity, governing law, venue and formal notices will be identified in the applicable service or sale agreement. Questions may be sent through Collector Advisory.
